Why Training is Important

Buying a system without training is like buying a new car without learning how to drive.

We realise the value of proper, in-depth training from experienced professionals. What we also realise is that you – our users – are not stupid. You may have used other legal software packages before and, even if you haven’t, you are sensible, intelligent people who know what you want your systems to do. You’re probably also unlikely to be able to take days away from your casework and other responsibilities to spend on systems training.

Insight Legal has a number of different options for training. We even give you some training for free. Before you read any further, if you’re thinking of taking on the system without training then now is the time to reconsider. We won’t do it. It’s as simple as that. If you don’t know how to use the system properly then you’ll cause no end of problems – for you and for us. You don’t want a visit from the SRA or the Law Society and we don’t want to lose a customer, so trust us and take the training. We promise you won’t regret it!

Our training is not about which buttons to press. Our courses are run by qualified and experienced staff who have worked in practice and who truly understand what you do.

Initial Training

We encourage every firm that takes on Insight Legal to have training. Even if you have used similar packages before, we want to make sure you know how to use Insight and get the most from your system.

If you have ever implemented a legal accounts, case management or practice management system before, you will no doubt have been quoted for a number of days’ training. Even for the smallest firm, it is traditional to have at least a day to be taken through each and every aspect by a systems trainer. That is not how we do things at Insight Legal.

Your initial training can be delivered in the way that suits you and your firm best. Perhaps you want to split the staff in to a couple of groups and give them a system overview, or perhaps you want to dedicate all the training to your cashier, some now and some at the end of the month. How you decide to use the training is up to you.

We believe very strongly that we should not sell you anything that you don’t need, so we won’t pressure you in to taking lots of training which you may not use, but we will insist that you have some.

Your account manager will talk to you before you place your order and we will agree how many hours or days you need. Most of our training is delivered by way of webinar so that you can take training in bite-sized chunks as and when you need it. We also offer training in person, so if you would like to come to us then we can accommodate you in our training suite or if you would like us to come to you, our trainers can come to your offices.

How We Deliver Training

Our training can be delivered in a number of different ways. The majority of our training is delivered online, which gives a low-cost and convenient option. Online training does not mean listening to recorded training course or reading information and answering tick-box questions. Our online training takes place live, with a qualified and experienced trainer running your session and sharing your screen.

With training run in this way, it means that you can often book at short notice and also that you don’t have to pay for a trainer’s travel expenses to get to your office.

As well as cost, the other main benefit of training in this way is that you don’t have to have all your training in one go. If you have an hour to spare, that’s fine. We’re happy to break the training up in to manageable sections.

On site training can also be hugely valuable and is often more suitable for larger practices. It also gives the opportunity for firms to arrange group sessions and floorwalking, perhaps when your system goes live.

In essence, what we’re saying is that you don’t have to book our services in whole days and you also don’t have to pay our travel expenses if that’s not what your firm needs. If you want us to come and visit you and spend time at your offices then that is absolutely no problem, but we want you to know that it’s not your only option.

Pricing

We don’t underestimate the value of services and we hope you don’t either. What we promise is that we will only quote you for the training and services that we think you need. We want you to be up and running as quickly as possible and we want you to see our services as a benefit rather than a cost.

When you sign up to Insight Legal we will discuss your exact training requirements with you, but we are serious about providing value for money. We don’t believe there are many suppliers who can compete with our training prices:

Online training, per hour (or part): £85.00

Onsite training, per day (or part): £650.00 plus trainer’s travel expenses (amount to be agreed in advance)
