Peapod LOLA to Insight Legal Data Migration

If you have software from Peapod, we are able to provide a complete data migration to the Insight Legal System.

Peapod produced a number of simple legal accounts and case management systems until they were taken over by the Australian Company Leap Software in 2014. The latest LOLA system was a Windows application utilising the Microsoft SQL Server database. In recent months we have completed a number of successful data conversions from various versions of Peapod legal accounts and case management systems.

We would be very happy to put you in touch with a number of firms that have made a highly successful transition from a Peapod system to Insight Legal.

To get the ball rolling, please arrange to send us a backup of your Peapod LOLA (or other Peapod system) database and we will get to work producing the trial conversion for you to review.

A typical conversion from Peapod will include at least all of the following data;

• Clients
• Matters
• Matter Types
• Introducer Codes
• Banks
• Fee Earners
• Accounting Periods
• VAT Rates
• Client/Matter Ledgers
• Time Recording
• Nominal Ledgers
• Nominal Ledger Transactions
• VAT Entries
• Bank Transactions

Once we have completed the trial we will install the Insight Legal software with a copy of the converted data for you to check and see for yourself what a complete data conversion will be like. If any amendments to things like departments, fee earner codes, time recording activities or nominal structure are required, these can be implemented in the live conversion.

The live conversion will usually take two to three days to complete and check. During this time you can continue to use the Peapod system if you wish either for viewing only or for entering transactions. If you do make any transactions during the conversion, these will need to be re-posted on Insight. The period during the live conversion offers a good time to complete training for the firm’s staff. Our training can be done either remotely in small chunks or on site for one or more days.

Once the conversion is completed we will install the data, then you can run your own checks and you will be live with your new system.
