Opsis Millennium to Insight Legal Data Migration

If you have software from Opsis Millennium Accounts or Millennium Solo, we are able to provide a complete data migration to the Insight Legal System.

Millennium Accounts and Millennium Solo were both legal account systems provided by Opsis since the early 2000s. They were offered alongside Opsis’ own Solicitors Case Manager Software. Although both systems utilised the Microsoft Access DatabaseOpsis Millennium and Solicitor Case Manager both used separate databases. Opsis was bought by IRIS Legal in 2008. IRIS were in turn taken over by Advanced Software Group in 2014.

We have performed a number of highly successful data conversions from Millennium Accounts, Millennium Solo and Solicitors Case Manager and would be happy to put you in touch with a number of our users who previously used one or more of these Opsis packages.

Conversions from Millennium Accounts are generally very straightforward and we would not normally insist on a trial run before the live conversion. However, if you would like to see your data in Insight Legal we would be delighted to complete a trial for you.

A conversion from Millennium Accounts or Solicitors Case Manager will include all of the following data;

  • Clients
  • Matters
  • Matter Types
  • Introducer Codes
  • Banks
  • Fee Earners
  • Accounting Periods
  • VAT Rates
  • Client/Matter Ledgers
  • Time Recording
  • Nominal Ledgers
  • Nominal Ledger Transactions
  • VAT Entries
  • Bank Transactions

Live conversions from Millennium Accounts usually take one or two days to complete.

As part of the live conversion, we will check all balances against a variety of reports produced in Millennium prior to the data being backed up and delivered to us here.

During the live data migration, it is possible to carry on using the Millennium Accounts system, although we recommend that you don’t do this as the conversion is usually completed quickly and delivered back to you promptly.

When you’re dealing with the experts, it doesn’t have to be expensive and it doesn’t need to be a hassle.
