We are Insight Legal Software, a multi-award-winning software supplier, providing an incredible product and service to the legal sector across the UK. But the most exciting part is that we are proudly independent – as a team we design, develop, deploy, train, service and support the Insight Legal system
This is a BIG deal. Being proudly independent means that we:
- Are Agile: We are able to make changes to product & processes quickly and easily, cutting down bureaucratic requirements often seen in “groups” of companies.
- Can Invest in our Employees: With freer reign, we are able to invest heavily in our employees, to ensure they have the training, skills and experience not only in their current role, but in their next role within the company.
- Can offer the Personal Touch: We are growing at a rapid pace, but we aren’t that letting fame and fortune go to our heads! Our founders are still very active within the company, and make it their mission to know every single employee, understand their strengths and draw in their talents on any exciting new projects or development opportunities they have in mind. Face/voice/reputation.
- You can make an Impact: We believe our employees are our biggest asset, and we have structured our business to ensure that all of our employees feel that they can make an impact on the overall company performance.
Agile Working: Here at Insight, we use an Agile Working model where we offer a blend of office and homeworking. This enables us to have stayed connected as a team, whilst also having the flexibility to work at home for a better work/life balance.
We Listen: We care about what our employees think and feel, and listen to their suggestions for improvement. In addition to “Suggestion Box” schemes, we also check in on all our employees weekly via Friday Pulse, and survey throughout the year to ensure that we are continuously improving our processes and offerings.
Learning Culture: We are passionate about learning! So much so, that we have our very own “Insight Academy” which offers product & accounts training, leadership training, and customer service training. In addition to this, all of our employees have access to Udemy for Business which gives them access to 5000+ courses. Every single employee, from apprentice to CEO, has a development plan for both the long and short term. To ensure the learning culture is embedded, we ask our employees to complete a learning activity every month, to ensure they are continuously developed and up to date with the latest trends in the industry.
Attitude of Gratitude: We value our employees, and strive to ensure that they are recognised. We do this in a number of ways. Firstly, every Friday we ask everyone to write within our community boards any thanks they would like to give to their colleagues. Secondly, we have a “Legend of the Month” scheme, where we recognise and reward those who have gone above and beyond! Finally, we have an annual award ceremony to celebrate the amazing things our employees achieve throughout the year.
All About the Social: We love a good get together! We have our Friday 5.15 call every week where we raise a drink to the weekend, play games and get far too competitive about quizzes! Every quarter we have companywide get togethers which are always fun… and of course, we have our legendary Christmas parties!
We Give Back: We have an awesome charity committee who have raised impressive sums of money for some very deserving causes, which any employee is welcome to join! Nothing stops the committee, even during the coronavirus pandemic they still managed to create fund-raising events and got lots of worthy donations. We also offer all employees 1 volunteer day per year for a charity of their choice.
We Care About The Environment: Our Environmental Action Group are always looking for new ways that we can help care for the environment, and have made a real difference in how we as a company operate. All employees are welcome to join the Action Group, we love getting new ideas and perspectives on ways we can improve.
Time Off: We offer 25 days annual leave, plus the option to buy/sell 3 days annual leave.
Pension: We make Employer Pension Contributions of 8%
Wellbeing: Private Healthcare (after passing probation)
We also offer a free Employee Assistance Programme, along with discounted gym memberships (with an on-site gym at HQ!)
Development: We ensure that every single employee has a development plan which is monitored throughout the year, and have access to all the training and experiences needed to perform their role at the best of their ability, and grow with the company!
Volunteer Day: We offer 1 volunteer day per year for a charity of their choice.
Social Events: We have regular social events throughout the year
“I have never been so welcomed and felt so at home at a company before. Most places claim to treat their employees as family. Here at Insight, we actually do. I am learning and growing on a daily basis, both my technical skillset and my personal skillset. My mentors push me in an inspiring and encouraging ways to be better than yesterday.
We work in a very agile environment, which requires us to have a great deal of communication throughout the team, and I feel it is something we really and truly excel at”
(Professional Services Team Leader)
“I first joined Insight in 2016 having worked previously in a technical support role and subsequently a junior accounts position. At that time there were only 2 other people in the support team however the support and training they both provided me has shaped me into the person I am today.
Initially, I was put through a comprehensive training plan to learn all aspects of the software. I was able to shadow my colleague’s high standards by listening to their support calls and training sessions.
I worked in the position of Software Support & Training Specialist for just over 3 years before I was promoted to Senior Support & Training Specialist. I have recently been promoted to Support & Training Team Leader; a great new direction for me at Insight Legal. Having 1:1 peer coaching sessions has enabled me to develop in different areas of the business and assisted me in securing my new role.
Throughout each step of my journey with Insight I was supported and trained to the highest level. With my colleagues coming from a vast array of backgrounds including ex legal cashiers I knew the knowledge and support I was getting was second to none”.
