Insight Legal support Mustard Seed Autism Trust as their charity partner for 2022

Friday 28 January, 2022

Each year Insight Legal partners up with a charity and supports the partnership through a diary of events, fundraising activities and social media interaction.

2022 will be our 5th year of partnering with a charity. This scheme is a fantastic way for us to help make a difference to charities within our community.

The process to become Insight Legal’s charity partner for 2022 was simple; we asked our staff members to nominate their chosen charity and subsequently shortlisted these nominations to 3 charities that we believe have similar values to ourselves and that we could potentially partner with.  We then put the charity vote out to the public to decide who they felt we should partner with.

We are now delighted to share with you that our Charity of the Year will be Mustard Seed Autism Trust.

Based in Frimley Green, Surrey, Mustard Seed Autism Trust was set up in September 2011 by Francis Bland and Sarah Clements. They have worked for 15 years supporting children with special needs within their local church.  Mustard Seed Autism Trust is an extension of this work born from a vision to provide a professional service in the community to families living with autism.  Their service is provided through Family Support, an Advice Line, Professional Training and OT for Schools.

Mustard Seed is a small registered charity. Please take a look at the work they do to offer a professional & practical service to families living with autism;

Insight employee, and Head of People and Culture, Helen Doyle nominated the charity for the shortlisting process based on her experience of seeing the valuable work Mustard Seed do through her role as a school governor.  “I nominated Mustard Seed Autism Trust as I feel our two organisation’s values are very similar.  I have seen first-hand the valuable work they do to support families through local schools, particularly with the huge pressure SEN is under in the education sector to support and develop children with autism.  This charity is a life-line to not only the children but their parents, siblings and wider family units.  I am delighted the public voted for them and I’m really excited about the fund-raising the team at Insight will take part in during 2022”

Sarah Clements, Co-founder and Charity Co-ordinator tells us how pleased they are about being chosen for Insight Legal’s COTY:  ” Mustard Seed Autism Trust is thrilled to be working with Insight Legal as their 2022 Charity of the Year! We are a small independent charity working with families living within 10 miles of Farnborough. We provide training, resources, advice and therapy for autistic children, their parents and siblings. We are really excited to be partnering with the wonderful team at Insight Legal and know their support will enable us to help more families live happy and healthy lives.”
