As the business grew, cloud software became a necessity in order to present a more united front.
The pursuit of superior software led Giambrone Law to Insight Legal Software who subsequently migrated data from Italy, performed system training and rolled out the hosted application practice-wide.

Giambrone Law’s original case management and legal accounts system was delivered on a terminal server basis, managed in-house and subject to infrequent updates.
Brendan Dine, Practice Director at Giambrone Law, explains: “The software we used before required us to log in via a different desktop because of its terminal server set-up. Continual swapping between desktops was a disjointed and timeconsuming way of working.
“We’d also found that updates were happening less and less regularly as time wore on so the system was generally looking tired. “It was nigh time to change. We wanted a new, cloud-hosted, modern-interface system to link together all our offices and better support our employees, whatever their primary language.”
Keen to upgrade within a short timeframe, Giambrone Law scanned the legal software marketplace for a replacement case management and legal accounts solution.
Brendan adds: “It turned out that the majority of suppliers we came into contact with quoted costly set-up fees and demanded up-front licence purchase. Refreshingly, with Insight, the pricing structure was affordable and flexible with a nominal set-up charge and monthly ongoing user-count related rates thereon in.”
Insight Legal Software is hosted in the cloud for 24/7 remote access to legal accounts and matter files.
Brendan states: “Our old server was based in London. If there was a power outage there, it’d have a knock-on effect at every other office. The cloud enables us to work more independently at the same time as being more joined up.”
Migration onto Insight Legal Software took only a month, despite the challenging logistics involved in the process.
Brendan clarifies: “We had lots of data, mostly stored in Italy, which we had to get back to the UK and onto our new system. With Insight project managing from start to finish, the switch was seamless. In a few short weeks, data transfer and software training was complete.
“First, remote delivery of the training courses allowed staff at our European and American locations to learn about the software from the comfort and convenience of their own desks. Second, role-dependent sessions were held, acknowledging the different requirements of each type of user. Third, three of our employees were trained to super-user standard, thereafter giving them the skills to teach any new users or remind existing users of forgotten features.”

Brendan concludes: “The user interface within Insight Legal Software is simple to use. Normally, you have to delve ever-deeper into the software to find the tools specific to your role. That’s far from the case with Insight. With fewer layers, a Windows-style layout and no-nonsense lingo which is easily understandable by our foreign-language speaking staff, we’re saving around 15% of our time on normal day-to-day tasks.
